Harmonizing Education and Passion: My Musical Journey to Victory
As a BCA student at Sri Kaliswari College in Sivakasi, I've always believed in the power of balancing academics with personal passions. My love for music has been a constant companion throughout my college years, leading me to participate in various competitions. On March 10, 2023, this dedication paid off when my team and I secured the second prize at the "As You Like It" competition held at Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai.
The competition was fierce, with over 20 teams showcasing their talents. Our team, consisting of five members including myself, had prepared a unique performance that blended dance and music. We were allotted a 5-minute slot, and we made sure to utilize every second effectively. My four friends kicked off our performance with an energetic 3-minute dance routine, setting the stage for what was to come.
As the dance segment concluded, I took center stage with my keyboard. The audience fell silent as I began to play a medley of popular Tamil songs. My fingers danced across the keys, bringing to life the melodies of "Vaa Vaathi" from the movie Vaathi, "Thenmozhi" from Thiruchirappalli, and "Po Nee Po" from Moonu (Three). The fusion of these beloved tunes resonated with the audience, creating a magical atmosphere in the auditorium.
When the results were announced, our team was ecstatic to learn that we had secured the second prize. This achievement was not just a personal victory but a testament to the power of pursuing one's passions alongside academic goals. As I return to my BCA studies at Sri Kaliswari College, I carry with me the invaluable experience of this competition, which has further fueled my determination to excel in both technology and music.
