My Musical Journey: Competing at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College as a BCA Student from Sri Kaliswari College

My name is MS Dharani, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Sri Kaliswari College in Sivakasi. Recently, I had the exciting opportunity to participate in a two-day event held at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, an esteemed autonomous engineering institution located in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. This event took place on September 16, 2022, and featured a wide array of competitions that showcased the diverse talents of students from various colleges.

The event at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College was a vibrant celebration of creativity and skill, with numerous activities such as photography, orchestra performances, solo instrumental playing, dancing, drama, and meme competitions. Each event provided a platform for students to demonstrate their talents and engage with peers from different backgrounds. The atmosphere was electric, filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie as participants cheered each other on.

On the first day of the event, I had the privilege of participating in the solo instrumental performance category. I chose to play a medley of popular songs, including "Kanave Kanave" from the movie David, "Kannazhaga" from 3, "Mustafaa Mustafaa" from Kadhal Desam, and the "Mankatha Theme Music" by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Performing these pieces not only allowed me to express my passion for music but also helped me connect with the audience on an emotional level. The experience was both exhilarating and rewarding, as I received positive feedback from the judges and fellow participants.

Participating in this event at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College was a significant milestone in my academic journey. It reinforced my belief in the importance of extracurricular activities in enhancing personal growth and building confidence. I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase my talent and look forward to participating in more such events in the future.
